It has an active Home Association, attractive amenities, Constable Patrol and backdoor garbage pickup. Amenities include the Recreation Center Building at 10601 Briar Forest (gym, offices, conference room, baths and a kitchen), a Tennis Center (3 lighted courts), a Pool Center (3 pools and updated baths), a Tennis Center (3 lighted courts), an updated playground for the kiddies and a large park with barbeque area and Gazebo. With the exception of the parking lot, the grounds are fenced and are electronic key access controlled.

My wife and I raised our children here and have participated in all aspects of the community from its many clubs and children's sports activities to serving on the Walnut Bend Home Association many years as a Director then President . Currently, I am the Republican Precinct Chairman for the Walnut Bend area.
